Nipple clamps are clamps that go on the nipples. It seems pretty easy, right? But there are some details you might not know about nipple clamps as well as questions that aren't easily answered such as "Why do people like nipple clamps?" We'll start there.

If you like a little pain with your pleasure, you might enjoy nipple clamps, but they're not for everyone. Some people find them too extreme. However, that can be part of the appeal for clamp lovers, especially those couples who play with pain punishment.

Of course, clamps look good on their own and with other bondage rope or cuffs.

Don't fool yourself into thinking that the worst part is when you put nipples on, however. The biggest shock actually comes when nipple clamps are removed, and blood -- and feeling -- rushes back into your nipples. Nipples can be quite sore after using clamps. Don't say we didn't warn you!

Before you try nipple clamps, you need to know that there are several styles, each with its own perks.

    • Alligator clamps: press the ends opposite the teeth to open the clamp and place it on your nipple

    • Adjustable clamps: AKA bull-nose clamps look similar to some alligator clamps but have an adjustable pin. They're better for beginners.

    • Clover clamps: AKA butterfly clamps open when you squeeze the opposite end. The smaller pincers are more intense than some clamps, and a string or chain allows you to pull to add pain.

    • Magnetic clamps: use magnets that attract to one another from either side of the nipple. These can be less intense than some styles.

Of course, you'll occasionally run across other styles of nipple clamps, but these are the most common.

Some of these clamps attach to weights that pull the clamps and your nipples down for more intense stimulation. Others may have small vibrators. You can find nipple clamps that are connected by a chain, which can be used to tug on the nipples and even sets that connect to a clitoris clamp if you're a pain lover.

Whether you prefer nipple clamps for their aesthetic or want to experiment with weights and tugging, there are nipple clamps for you.
